Accreditations and Memberships
MCNY is chartered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York and is fully accredited by The Middle States Commission of Higher Education (MSCHE). In addition, the College is a member of the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration; National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities; Association of American Colleges and Universities; the Council of Adult and Experiential Learning; the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities; and the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities.
Master of Science in Education Program
The Master of Science in Education Degree Program at Metropolitan College of New York is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), 2010 Massachusetts Ave., NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC 20036; phone (202) 466-7496. NCATE is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation to accredit programs for the preparation of teachers and other professional school personnel. The accreditation covers initial teacher preparation programs and/or advanced educator preparation programs. The accreditation does not include education courses that the institution offers to P-12 educators for professional development, relicensure, or other purposes.

The Associate and Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and all MBA programs at Metropolitan College of New York are accredited by The Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Programs (ACBSP).
