About the Alumni Career Services Advisory Network
The principle purpose of the network is to give students and alumni access to knowledgeable individuals (alumni volunteers) who are willing to provide information on the latest career and work place trends. Networking with targeted alumni can help get an insider's view of the world of work. Whether deciding on a college major, developing career plans, or looking for job search advice, speaking with experienced alumni can help.
The Alumni Career Advisory Network will consist of an on-line searchable database of MCNY grads who have volunteered to be career advisors and share their career experiences with students and other alumni. (find out how to become an Alumni Career Advisor.)
This new service will be offered through the Office of Career Service's MCNY Career Bank.
To obtain access to your own personal website you will need a user name and password. Contact the Office of Career Services to obtain your user name and password and a brief demo on how to use the career advisory network and all of the other great MCNY Career Bank features.
MCNY‘s office of Career Services would like to acknowledge the contributions of Rutgers University-New Brunswick Career Services in the creation of the alumni advisory network's technology, text and format.
Alumni Career AdvisorsThe Office of Career Services (OCS) is currently recruiting alumni interested in volunteering to serve as Career Advisors for its new on-line career advisory network. Alumni who volunteer to be advisors will agree to be contacted for information and advice on choosing, advancing and changing careers. They will be asked to share their expertise, but will not be expected to provide jobs or to accept resumes, nor should they be contacted to solicit business.
Here are some questions that advisors are typically asked:
OCS and the alumni advisory committee are hoping that enough alumni will agree to register to be Career Advisors to ensure a broad range of career advice options. Interested alumni can register as Career Advisors online at MCNY Career Bank after obtaining a user name and password.

News about the New Alumni Directory...
Recently, Harris Connect and the college sent out questionnaires to update your contact information. These will be followed by email, phone, and mail. Don’t miss your chance to be included! Be sure to provide your updated information when contacted either by mail or by phone.
MCNY's Office of Career Services has contracted with Harris Connect to update the 1996 alumni print and electronic directory. Even if it has been years since you last made contact, you can still reconnect with long-lost friends. The Alumni Directory will be an invaluable resource with personal, academic and business information.
If you've already returned your questionnaire, thanks! You will be contacted directly to confirm your profile, and to have an opportunity to reserve a copy of the directory.
