Urban Dialogues
A forum in which scholars, legislators, policy makers, students, and citizens exchange ideas and discuss issues and trends that affect New York City and other urban centers across the nation. Topics cover a spectrum of ideas, theories, and viewpoints that inform and/or influence urban policy.
Academic Calendar
A comprehensive listing of registration events throughout the semester. Track class schedules, holidays, submission deadlines for students and faculty, and add/drop and withdrawal deadlines.

The Audrey Cohen School for Human Services and Education
Associate of Arts
Earn an Associate of Arts in Human Services with Metropolitan College of New York. This degree may be completed in just 1 year, 4 months. The degree features a 4-semester sequence, comprised of both class work and field work, in which students explore up to 3 different internship opportunities.
Bachelor of Arts in American Urban Studies
This interdisciplinary liberal arts degree features courses in economics, sociology
and political science, as well as American and Urban studies. It is an excellent
foundation for students who want to pursue advanced degrees in law, teaching,
public administration and business. The program is structured so that students
can complete this degree in two years and eight months.
Bachelor of Professional Studies
This human services degree offers comprehensive preparation for people-centered
work in public, private, and not-for-profit organizations. A broad range of academic
studies, including philosophy, history, psychology, economics, political science,
sociology, management, and communications, are integrated with professional skills
and mentored workplace experience.
Master of Science in Childhood Education
This 1-year, 3-semester, 48-credit program is designed for the person who is committed to the education of all children in diverse urban and suburban schools and has the intellectual capacity, preparation and motivation to pursue an intensive schedule of study and practice.
CASAC Program
A non-degree certificate program in Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counseling. This program is designed to address the needs of those who wish to prepare for a career in substance abuse counseling or those who wish to enhance their skills as social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, rehabilitation counselors, mental health counselors, substance abuse counselors, marriage and family therapists, and school counselors. Approved by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.

Associate of Science in Business
In 4 quick semesters (1 year and 4 months), you can have a diploma in hand. Find out what courses you will take and how your future will benefit from getting your Associate of Science in Business (AS) degree.
Bachelor of Business Administration
Get your Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA), while you work full-time, and still graduate in just a little over 2 1/2 years. Make the investment now and you will reap the rewards for years to come.
MBA in Media Management
The first of its kind in the country, the MCNY Media Management MBA is a unique
program geared towards achievement-oriented, media professionals. The curriculum
balances traditional MBA competencies with those particular to the industry
of the student's choosing.
MBA in General Management
MCNY’s MBA in General Management offers ambitious business professionals a chance to attain the skill sets and knowledge base that improve an individual’s ability to contribute to his or her organization. While addressing subjects covered in more traditional MBA programs, our course of study requires students to go to the next level, take what they’ve learned, and apply it to a real business situation.
MBA in Financial Services
Metropolitan College offers the only MBA in the region specifically designed for the financial services sector. What differentiates this MBA from all others is that this program addresses how the financial service businesses function. Based on over 43 years of research and development, the MCNY clinical approach to learning is deeply rooted in business and highly responsive to shifts that regularly occur in international business. The curriculum reflects cutting-edge global business education with an infusion of ethics, communications and technological applications to produce graduates who are financial service specialists (familiar with every aspect of that industry), and who have also mastered the art of applying what they learn to actual business situations while working.
MPA in Public Affairs and Administration
This unique, three-semester-long MPA can be completed in one year. The program of study and practice has been designed specifically for working professionals with some related experience in a public agency, not-for-profit or profit making setting and provides the student with the skills necessary to enhance the organization's efficiency through applied learning. Each semester is 15 weeks long, and concentrates on an area essential to building leadership careers in public service.
MPA in Emergency and Disaster Management
The Masters of Public Administration in Emergency and Disaster Management offers an advanced degree program which teaches professionals already working in the field the critical thinking and decision making skills necessary to support and supervise comprehensive, integrated or effective management in the event of natural, system-wide, or human-induced crises.

Student IQ.Web and Email
From your IQ.Web account, you will now be able to access your individual academic and financial information online in real time. A new student email system called IQ.Mail has also been implemented, providing each student with an account to send and receive email.

Learning Enhancement Center
This federal funded Center offers comprehensive academic support, in the form of one-on-one and online tutoring, to help MCNY students develop their writing, math and other skills.
Mentor Program
Since 1997, the Mentor Program has continued to inspire and enhance the educational experience of MCNY students. Comprised of a carefully selected group of students and alumni of the College, mentors are available to provide tutoring, content tutoring, skills building, counseling, coaching and guidance to students during their first four semesters at the College.

The Metropolitan Institute, formerly the Urban Institute, was founded in 2000 for the purpose of facilitating dialogue, research and assessment in regards to issues surrounding urban policy, particularly those in underserved areas.
Next Gallery
NEXT Art Gallery was founded in the Fall Semester of 2001, by students from the MBA in Media Management Program for whom designing a gallery space and mounting an exhibition was a class project. NEXT Art Gallery is now a permanent feature of our Institution.
