A maximum of 6 graduate credits may, if pertinent to the course study, be applied toward meeting the requirements of the master's degree. Approved transfer credits are not recorded as part of the grade point average. Any application of transfer credit must have the written approval of the Program Director before the prospective student begins the program. Credits may be transferred provided they have been:

  • Completed within the last five years;
  • Completed with a B or better;
  • Comparable in content and skill development to courses offered by the MS in Education program;.
  • Completed separate from a previously earned graduate degree.

Permission to transfer graduate credits must be requested in writing and included with the MSED Admissions Application along with a separate copy of the official transcript, and a copy of the college bulletin course description. All must be submitted together to the Program Director.

Since the MS in Education programs follows a comprehensive cohort model course of study, Advanced Standing status will not be granted.
