The Audrey Cohen School for Human Services and Education seeks an Assistant Dean who will assume responsibility for the overall coordination of academic and administrative services. Major responsibilities include managing class schedules and coordinating the registration process each semester; managing student transcript evaluations, incompletes and grade changes; resolving student issues; preparing classroom enrollment projections; monitoring class enrollment and faculty recruitment; organizing special events; project management; managing department and faculty enrichment budgets; assisting the Dean with administrative tasks and projects; and participating in selected committees. The Assistant Dean will also provide oversight and supervision of the CASAC and Experiential Learning programs.

Requirements: Minimum requirements: Masters degree plus 3 years of higher education administrative experience. Metropolitan College of New York’s School of Management seeks an Assistant Professor of Finance for its Business Program which offers associate, bachelors and MBA degrees. Teaching responsibilities include economics and finance at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The appointment is available beginning Fall 2009. Successful candidates will hold the Ph.D. or DBA in a management-related field, e.g., finance or economics.

Metropolitan College of New York will offer a new one-year Master of Science degree in Secondary (Grades 7-12) Mathematics Education in fall 2010. Applications are being solicited for a mathematics education faculty member with appointment in fall 2010.


Responsibilities
Contribute to the planning and development of the mathematics education program; teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics education as well as general courses in mathematics; supervise student teachers in the field; engage in scholarly and professional activities; perform college and department service; assist with NCATE accreditation reviews; participate in student recruitment, application and admissions processes; develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with public school professionals; seek out and apply for external funding. Health Care Management Program, School of Management, Business Programs

Metropolitan College of New York plans to offer a new BBA degree in Health Care Management in fall 2010. Applications are being solicited for a key faculty member who will also serve as Coordinator of the program.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will serve as the Program Coordinator and primary contact for students and other faculty teaching in the program. The Coordinator, in collaboration with the Dean of the School and Director of Business Programs, will articulate a vision to implement the plan for the Health Care Management Program. She/he will teach courses within the program, monitor market trends, coordinate teaching and faculty development, oversee assessment of the curriculum, and ensure academic excellence. The Coordinator will also build partnerships with other institutions and businesses regionally, nationally and internationally. Facilities Technician
Reporting to the Administrative Director of MCNY, the Facilities Technician maintains, services, improves and supports the facilities and equipment of MCNY. The Technician is responsible for general maintenance including carpentry, construction, painting, and masonry. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical and HVAC air conditioning problems; plumbing; cleaning duties; assembling, repairing and moving furniture and equipment; rearranging rooms for special events; and general cleaning of offices and restrooms.

Requirements: Minimum requirements: High School or Tech School degree plus three years of related experience. Ability to use hand and power tools; plumbing and electrical experience; familiarity and experience with HVAC systems. Valid driver’s license. Must be able to read instructions and specifications. Technical Support Analyst, Information Technology Department
Metropolitan College of New York seeks a technical support analyst to provide exceptional and professional technical support services to the College community during weekday evening and Saturday hours of operation. These services include hardware, software, peripherals, audio-visual equipment, network and communication devices. The support analyst will work closely with technology service departments throughout the College including Information Systems, Library, and Academic Computing to provide appropriate and reliable responses to technological issues; monitor client/user service needs and make recommendation to improve services; and work on special projects as assigned.

Requirements: Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree and/or technical certification in Microsoft applications and server products with 5 years hands-on experience in a technology services environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows XP, and Windows 7. Experience working in a higher education environment a plus. Must be able to work autonomously and in teams, and have excellent customer service and communications skills. Must be organized, have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet critical deadlines. Willing to work weekday evenings and Saturdays.
