Associate Director of Admissions

Metropolitan College of New York, a non-profit, regionally accredited college offering associate, bachelors and masterís degrees, and located in the Soho/Tribeca section of Manhattan and the Bronx, seeks a creative, well-organized, high-energy professional with proven managerial skills to help lead a team of Admissions Professionals in their recruitment and admissions efforts. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Associate Director will play a critical role in developing and meeting enrollment objectives.

Major responsibilities include assisting the Director with the overall operations including developing policies and procedures to help meet enrollment objectives, developing and implementing a comprehensive recruitment plan; assisting in the performance management and development of Admissions staff; meet set target enrollment goals for graduate and undergraduate programs; establishing and maintaining relationships with public and private entities including schools, community colleges, other higher education institutions, businesses, government agencies; managing and reporting recruitment efforts and outcomes; representing MCNY at various functions on and off campus; participating on committees that work toward meeting organizational goals.

Requirements: Masterís degree with 3 to 5 years higher education experience. 3 years of progressive supervisory experience and demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams; excellent communication skills (written and oral); proficient with Microsoft Office, college-based computer information systems and customer relationship management (CRM) systems; ability to work independently and take a leadership role in analyzing challenges and forming solutions. Experience in higher education admission strongly preferred. Candidates must be willing to travel and work evenings and weekends. Director of the Bronx Extension Center
MCNY seeks an experienced administrator to provide leadership for a broad range of strategic and operational goals for its Bronx Extension Center.
Reporting to the Chief Academic Officer/Dean for Business, the Director will be responsible for providing overall operational leadership and supervision of academic and administrative services consistent with the Collegeís strategic goals and objectives; supervising site-based employees, and coordinating work schedules to ensure adequate and appropriate levels of student services; working with the Chief Academic Officer and Vice President for Enrollment Management to develop, implement and evaluate a comprehensive annual business plan (including strategic, fiscal, marketing/student recruitment, technology, risk management and community relations components) for the site that is consistent with the Collegeís strategic initiatives, goals and resource allocations; serve as the liaison and coordinating administrative needs for the site with appropriate staffing and services (this includes admissions, registrar, financial aid, bursar, library, learning center, academic advising, student services, computing, mail services, duplicating, security and facilities).

Requirements: Masterís degree with at least 5 years of management and supervisory experience; higher education experience including good understanding of enrollment management and academic services administration; strong analytic, strategic planning, and organizational skills; effective communication skills, sound decision making skills; a results-oriented, positive approach to problem solving; experience with budget preparation and management; proficient with Microsoft Office and knowledge of student information system preferred; experience working with a diverse student body; experience in extension site operations preferred. This position requires working some evenings and weekends and travel between the Bronx and Manhattan sites.
