Assistant Professor in Childhood Education
MCNY is searching for a full-time faculty member to teach graduate courses and supervise student teachers in the accelerated 12-month MSED program in childhood education (grades 1-6). Additional responsibilities include engaging in scholarly and professional activities; perform college and department service; assist with NCATE accreditation reviews and program development; participate in student recruitment, application and admissions processes; develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with public school professionals; seek out and apply for grants.




Requirements: Qualifications: Earned doctorate in elementary education or a closely related field. Consideration will be given to ABD candidates in the dissertation/defense stage. Minimum of three years classroom teaching experience as a NYS certified elementary school teacher. Preferred qualifications include college and public school teaching experience in urban settings with diverse populations of children; skill in the use of technology to support teaching and learning, and an established scholarly record. MCNY seeks a Coordinator to oversee the academic administration of experiential learning activities. In furtherance of MCNY’s vision to become the college of choice for experiential learning, the Coordinator will develop, update and enforce fieldwork policies and procedures; establish partnerships with external organizations to identify educational initiatives and develop internship opportunities for students; collect data and create reports; conduct classroom workshops; host meetings for field placement supervisors; and provide support to faculty teaching the field practicum seminar including coordination of meetings and trainings around themes related to experiential education.

Located in downtown Manhattan, MCNY offers AS, BBA, MBA and MS degrees. In addition to the MBA in General Management, the School offers innovative specialized MBA programs such as Media Management and Financial Services. The Director will be responsible for academic and entrepreneurial leadership of the School including development of strong and innovative degree and certificate programs. The Director, in collaboration with the Dean and President, will articulate a vision and develop and implement a strategic plan for the School. Enrollment Specialist
MCNY seeks a well-organized, high-energy professional with excellent customer service skills to recruit and enroll prospective students in its undergraduate and graduate programs. The Specialist will conduct outreach, counsel prospective students on programs, financial resources and matriculation requirements; develop relationships with public and private entities including schools, businesses, organizations and community leaders; and attend on and off campus recruitment activities. The Specialist will be able to enroll students in any of the College’s programs and will act as a liaison for one of its programs.

The Specialist will assist the Dean with recruitment strategies; counsel students on eligibility for State/Federal tuition assistance, alternative financing and payment options; package and disburse financial aid, including Title IV funds and MCNY scholarships and grants; actively seek to improve and streamline the aid application and disbursement process in an effort to better serve students; perform verifications and award students in accordance with federal, state and institutional policies; and ensure students understand their financial obligation, and the College’s financial options, policies and procedures.
