Case Manager
Metropolitan College of New York (MCNY), a non-profit, regionally accredited college offering associate, bachelor's and master's degrees, and located in the Soho/Tribeca section of Manhattan and in the Bronx, seeks a Case Manager to conduct weekly individual counseling sessions for students. MCNY is part of the Education and Work Consortium and is recipient of the Welfare to Careers grant which seeks to influence public welfare policy by demonstrating, through a replicable model, that a career-focused Bachelorís degree with comprehensive support services will enable low-income, underserved people to achieve economic self-sufficiency. The Case Manager will be working out of Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, New York and will be responsible for preparing progress reports for each student that includes assessment of academic progress, employment and financial status, childcare needs, and personal or family issues; working with other support staff to intervene with students at risk of dropping out of the program; advocating for the student and their families, and making referrals to social service agencies when necessary; work with students to plan course schedules that meet their needs; work collaboratively with departments to ensure a smooth registration process for students; prepare and maintain complete cases files; and assist students with academic advisement.

Requirements: Bachelorís degree with 5 years of case management experience; experience working with public benefits programs and/or public assistance recipients; excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; experience working in a diverse environment. Math and Statistics Specialist (part time), Learning Enhancement Center
MCNY seeks a part-time Math Specialist to work directly with students in an individual or small group setting (face to face and/or online). The Specialist will assist, support and guide students to a better understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts; develop and implement math and statistics-oriented workshops; and work with faculty to design supplemental instructional materials to help students achieve their academic and learning goals. In addition, this position requires the ability to work with a diverse student population within a multicultural setting, actively engage students in the subject matter using a student-centered approach, and contribute to Learning Center team initiatives and program development.

Requirements: Minimum requirements include a Masterís degree in a related field with strong proficiency in math and statistics and prior teaching or tutoring experience.
