    1. Look for the largest button on the computer and turn it on

    1. Windows 2000 and some computers Windows XP

  3. WHERE ARE THE FUNCTION KEYS?
    1. At the very top of the keyboard

  4. WHERE DO I FIND THE CALCULATOR?
    1. Go to the Start button
    2. Select Programs
    3. Select Accessories
    4. Choose Calculator

  5. WHERE DO I INSERT A DISKETTE?
    1. On the computer (CPU)
    2. There is a small slot
    3. Insert Diskette


  6. WHAT DOES CPU MEAN?
    1. Central Processing System
    2. The Brain
    3. The Engine

  7. WHAT IS THE TAB KEY USED FOR?
    1. To indent before each paragraph
    2. To line numbers
    3. To line text

  8. WHAT IS THE INSERT KEY USED FOR?
    1. Once the Insert key is depress, your text to the right is deleted
    2. Deactivate the Insert key by depressing it again

  9. HOW DO YOU STOP A PRINT JOB?
    1. Go to Start button
    2. Select Settings
    3. Click on Printers
    4. Highlight document and cancel

  10. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE COMPUTER IS ON AND THE SCREEN GO BLANK?
    1. The computer is on Screen Saver
    2. Depress the Enter key

  11. HOW DO YOU TURN THE COMPUTER OFF?
    1. Go to the Start button
    2. Select Shut Down, Click
    3. Shut Down, OK

  12. WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THE COMPUTER FREEZES OR STOP RESPONDING?
    1. Depress Ctrl, Alt, and Delete keys at the same time

  14. HOW DO I SCAN FOR VIRUSES?
    1. Go to the Start button, Click
    2. Select Programs
    3. Select Network Associates
    4. Choose Virus Scan, Click
    5. Select Drive and Scan

  15. WHAT KIND OF DISKETTE SHOULD I PURCHASE?
    1. 3 ½ inch
    2. Formatted
    3. High Density
    4. Double Sided
    5. 1.44 MB

  16. WHAT CAN I DO WHEN A DIALOG BOX APPEARS AND I DON’T WANT IT?
    1. Go to the extreme upper left corner of the keyboard
    2. Depress the Esc (Escape) key

  17. WHAT CAN I DO WHEN MY DISKETTE READS NOT FORMATTED AND I HAVE FILES ON IT?
    1. Look for MSDos Command Prompt in your Programs
    2. Right click on Start, then Programs
    3. You will see a black Window
    4. With the diskette in drive A
    5. Type chkdsk a: /r (space between a: and /r)
    6. It takes a few moments to check the disk and repair any errors
    7. If it doesn’t work, call the Help Desk

  18. WHAT SHOULD I DO TO TYPE ALL CAPITAL LETTERS?
    1. Look at the left side of the keyboard
    2. Find the Caps Lock key
    3. Depress and type
    4. Depress again to deactivate

  19. WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN I OPEN UP A FILE AND IT IS ENCRYPTED?
    1. Close the file immediately
    2. Check to see that your in the right application, such as PowerPoint not Word

  20. WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN I RESTART, AND IT IT READS "NON-SYSTEM DISK OR DISK ERROR" "REPLACE AND STRIKE ANY KEY WHEN READY"?
    1. You simply have a diskette in the floppy drive.
    2. Take out the diskette and strike any key
