What is different about MCNY?
I appreciate the small classes and that the professors are focused on students. They are really concerned about your education. I applied to other schools but only MCNY reached out to me personally.

How did your education lead to what you do now?
My goal is to one day help my home country in Africa by working with the United Nations through a humanitarian NGO. Right now I have an internship with the International Rescue Committee, one of the biggest humanitarian NGOs. As part of my studies at MCNY I conducted ethnographic research on the West African refugees in New York City. When I presented my research to the International Rescue Committee, they realized this is a group they needed to work with - no one had done this before. Because of the research I had done through MCNY I created a way to help these people.
