MCNY seeks a Development Associate to work in collaboration with the Chief Development Officer to expand fundraising capacity in support of the college and its students.
The Development Associate position is a unique opportunity to be an integral part of a team that will make a meaningful difference in the lives of adult students. The successful candidate, who will come with experience in a non-profit development setting, will work collaboratively to support the success of the development program.
This position will work at the Manhattan Campus and report to the Chief Development Officer. The Development Associate will assist with securing funding; donor and alumni relations, stewardship, and prospect research; gift entry; maintaining the development calendar and accurate database records; and preparing for donor meetings.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in a non-profit development office. The candidate will have an understanding of donor relations and experience with gift entry and processing. They will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; a high level of accuracy and attention to detail; exceptional time management and organizational skills; the ability to manage priority projects simultaneously; the ability to work on projects independently or collaboratively as part of a team; strong interpersonal skills; a strong work ethic and positive attitude; and a passion and commitment to our mission. Proficient with Microsoft Office and donor database required.
