Dr. Adele Weiner, Ph.D., L.C.S.W., has been a social work/human services educator for over 35 years. After serving as the Dean of the Audrey Cohen School of Human Services and Education, she has returned to the Faculty. At MCNY she has served as, the Chairperson of the Faculty Council, the Faculty Trustee on the Board of Trustees and Chairperson of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education Accreditation Steering Committee for the 2009 Self-Study. Throughout her academic career, she has focused on providing students with accurate information about the human condition while helping them to become knowledgeable and compassionate human services professionals. For 20 years, she was the principal research consultant with a community-based agency offering HIV prevention and outreach services to streetwalking sex workers and other marginalized populations. In this role, Dr. Weiner has worked on the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) funded projects as a research investigator, which led to numerous publications and presentations at national and international conferences. Her recent research and scholarship have focused on creatively using technology in higher education and educational program assessment.
