Matt Khaled is the Manager of Emergency Preparedness - Gas at Public Service Electric & Gas (PSE&G) in New Jersey. In his role, Matt works with Gas Operations on updating their field location Business Continuity Plans, providing Personnel Accountability training and Accountability Tags to over 2000 employees and support the administration of the New Jersey Statewide Utility Safety Team. Prior to PSE&G, Matt worked for the NYC Health Department’s Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response as the Emergency Response Coordinator where he managed the Healthcare System Support Branch to support hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living, primary care and mental hygiene providers during the Ebola, Legionnaires and Zika outbreaks. In addition, Matt was a Liaison Officer, Administrator On Call and the City’s first Adult Care Readiness Coordinator. Matt also worked for the Brookdale Center for Healthy Aging at Hunter College as the Project Manager for Adult Care Emergency Preparedness where he successfully managed a multi-year grant that brought the Center nearly $1 million dollars. Matt worked for the American Red Cross in Greater NY as a Community Outreach Leader and Preparedness Training Coordinator in Brooklyn having coordinated 250+ emergency preparedness trainings and community events that reached over 30,000. Matt also coordinated the American Red Cross Greater NY Region’s Drills and Exercises program. Matt is a Certified Emergency Manager, Level II Master Continuity Practitioner and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
