Sarah D Ceballos, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Management
School for Business
Dr. Sarah D. Ceballos is originally from South Texas near the Mexican border. As a 3rd generation Mexican American, she grew up with an emphasis on education from an early age. Growing up around a small business gave Dr. Ceballos an entrepreneurial mindset. However, the path toward higher education eventually chose her by way of "Corporate America" first. Dr. Ceballos’ career in finance and retail began in 2008. During the final stages of her Ph.D. program, she began teaching in 2015. Her experience in the corporate world provided the "real-word" scenarios that she now shares in the classroom. As a woman and a Latina, it is important for her to lead by example. Dr. Ceballos enjoys teaching and helping others realize their true potential, in and out of a classroom. Her research also seeks to create healthy conversations about issues surrounding the workplace, such as leadership preferences amongst age cohorts, impression management, diversity, equity, & inclusion (DEI). Dr. Sarah D. Ceballos holds Bachelor of Arts in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations, from the University of Texas at San Antonio, a Master of Arts in Organizational Development from the University of the Incarnate Word and a Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Leadership from Our Lady of the Lake University.
