Message from the Vice President of Academic Affairs Mr. Humphrey Crookendale

VP Humphrey Crookendale

Humphrey Crookendale, J.D.

It is with great pleasure that I invite you to explore Metropolitan College of New York’s (MCNY’s) academic offerings to garner a sense of what we offer in the greatest city in the world. Our college has proudly served our students and community since 1964. As a small, private, nonprofit college, we are able to offer programs in which a course is never closed because of too many students. A seat will always be available to you.

Our undergraduate and graduate programs are accelerated so that students are able to complete their degree while working and/or raising a family. The college continues to evolve, offering degrees in human services, business administration, health care administration, information technology, emergency and disaster management, and public affairs and administration. New degree offerings are planned for next year in new growth areas.

Our college fosters diversity, personal and social responsibility, and academic mentoring. Although the pace of our programs is fast, a member of our faculty or staff is always someone available to provide guidance and encouragement. We are preparing students to venture into an ever-changing and fast-paced world, one in which they will become change agents and leaders.

As the Vice President of Academic Affairs for MCNY, I am responsible for the college’s academic programs, curriculum development, enhancing the college’s intellectual environment,  and strengthening instruction and scholarship. My favorite activity as Vice President of Academic Affairs and as an instructor is meeting, mentoring and teaching students.

Join us at MCNY and make your mark in New York City – and the world! I look forward to welcoming you to the college’s Manhattan and Bronx campuses.

Warmly,

Mr. Humphrey A. Crookendale, J.D.
Vice President of Academic Affairs
