The Federal Work-Study program provides employment opportunities to MCNY students who are enrolled in a degree program and have registered for at least six credits per semester. Administered by the Office of Financial Aid, through Work Study:
- Students may work up to 20 hours per week throughout the academic year and a maximum of 29 hours per week during official breaks when classes are not in session and if funding premits.
- Earnings from student jobs are not applied directly toward their tuition bill. Instead, students are paid biweekly and determine how to best utilize these funds toward their educational expenses.
Interested students should consult the Job Listings below. Students must send a cover letter and resume directly to the hiring supervisor, or hand deliver a resume to the department where they are interested in working. Once hired, the student must submit all required paperwork within 15 days of the award notification. The Office of Financial Aid processes all of the payroll information and manages Federal Work-Study policies and procedures.
