Are you looking for a new position or in need of job search guidance?

The MCNY Career and Professional Development Team is excited to partner with Handshake, the #1 career and job search provider for colleges to assist alumni and students in finding job leads.

The process would require you to build a profile on the MCNY Handshake site. You can quickly and easily develop your profile by using your resume to populate the information needed. Handshake is free for MCNY alumni and students.

What is Handshake?

Handshake is a career services platform created for students and alumni to use in their career development. It also houses resources that can be used at any time.

Handshake is used by over 200,000 employers, including all Fortune 500 companies! Thousands of internship and job opportunities are posted on Handshake by employers specifically looking to hire.

All MCNY students have a Handshake account that is automatically created for them BY MCNY. All you have to do is log in to Handshake to activate your account. Handshake will then recommend certain positions to you based on your profile, allowing for easy searching. Completing and updating your profile will provide Handshake with a better idea of which job and internship listings you may be interested in.

Here are some of the awesome things you can do with Handshake:

  • Register for industry meet-ups, career fairs, & info sessions
  • Upload your resume for an online critique
  • Research thousands of employers
  • Apply for jobs & internships

Alumni ID Card

You must schedule an appointment to obtain your MCNY Alumni ID card. Please contact Clotilde Ibarra in room 623, 212-343-1234, ext.2800 or studentservices@mcny.edu. To receive your ID, you must have no outstanding debt to MCNY, legal proof/government-issued ID and pay a $10 fee (cash only).
