MCNY to Host April Walker, Entrepreneur and Business Woman, During Celebration of Recent Specialized Business Accreditation

WHAT: After two years of intensive redesign and revision of the Undergraduate and Graduate MBA curricula, Metropolitan College of New York School for Business has been awarded specialized accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business School and Programs (ACBSP).  In honor of this major accomplishment, the school will be hosting “The School for Business: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow”, a series of events and ceremonies that will take place on December 6, 2012.

The celebration will begin at 3:00 PM with a ‘Dean’s List Award Ceremony’ honoring undergraduate business students who achieved Dean’s List status.  Other events during the day will include an ACBSP celebration and a panel discussion.  The day culminates with a special presentation by Walker Wear founder and business maven, April Walker, who opened up her first custom fashion shop at the age of 19.  Walker will discuss how her savvy business style and drive has enabled her to rise to the top of her field.  Following Ms. Walker’s presentation, there will be a panel discussion featuring top business leaders from various sectors.  The evening will close with a networking reception.
