Metropolitan College of New York has ranked #88 out of over 700 private colleges analyzed by Peterson’s, whose data is considered to be one of the benchmarks for education reference.  In order to determine the rankings for this study, the overall scholarship money awarded to the undergraduate student body was pulled with the total number of undergraduates at a given school. More specifically, the overall scholarship aid was the combined total of private need-based and non-need-based scholarship aid, and the number of undergraduates referred to full-time undergrads only. The overall scholarship financial aid was divided by the number of undergraduates, generating the final ranking factor: average scholarship aid per undergraduate. Each school was ranked according to average scholarship aid per undergrad (highest to lowest), and the top 250 private schools were included in the report.
