Meet Teri Coaxum, CEO & Founder of Coaxum Connects LLC — a strategic management consulting firm. Teri is an economic advisor, distinguished lecturer, motivational speaker, author, life coach & mentor.  Under President Obama’s Administration, she was the Region II Advocate for the Office of Advocacy, U.S. SBA with oversight of NY, NJ, Puerto Rico & the U.S. Virgin Islands.  In this capacity, Ms. Coaxum advocated for small business; providing a voice and ensuring their concerns with proposed federal regulations are heard and considered.

Prior to that, Ms. Coaxum was the Deputy State Director for Senator Charles Schumer where she assisted in the management of the Senator’s eight regional offices, advised on economic development, job creation, and key policy issues. Her ability to “make connections” is one of her strongest professional skills.  She made similar meaningful connections during her six years at the Kings County District Attorney’s office where she served as Community Liaison & Project Manager for Community Relations.  Teri has an MBA in Business Administration from Metropolitan College of New York.  She also has a master’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
