NEW YORK — On June 7, 2019, Metropolitan College of New York (MCNY) celebrated the induction of 17 students to the Pi Alpha Alpha Global Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration. During the ceremony, Assemblymember Rodneyse Bichotte delivered the keynote address.

The honor society’s objectives, which include “fostering integrity, professionalism, and effective performance, promote the advancement of quality in the education and practice of the art and science of public affairs and administration,” compliment the mission of MCNY’s outstanding School of Public Affairs and Administration.
“Our Master of Public Administration program prepares students to do great work to help communities thrive,” said President of MCNY Joanne Passaro. “A number of our alumni are now helping to run New York City.”
MCNY’s Master of Public Administration program educates current and future leaders and administrators of public and nonprofit organizations. Many MCNY students have gone on to be leaders in New York City government, including the New York City Department of Education, New York City Administration for Children’s Services, New York City Human Resources Administration, New York City Department of Mental Health and Hygiene and The New York City Department of Environmental Protection.
