Please join us in congratulating Lakhbir Singh MBA ’15, our former Associate Director of Financial Aid, as he advances to the director level and helps shape a new role for Metropolitan College of New York (MCNY) as Director of Financial Aid and Scholarship Programs. He is a 2015 graduate of MCNY’s MBA in General Management program.

Lakhbir will take on many new responsibilities – such as: overseeing all aspects of the College’s financial aid and scholarship programs, developing short- and long-term strategic plans to help meet student enrollment and retention goals, and instilling a culture of continuous improvement within the Office of Financial Aid. He will also create a scholarship arm for the office, which will help leverage discounting, institutional aid, and donor-based aid to impact and influence new and continuing student enrollment. Our goal is to ensure a strategic use of financial aid and scholarships is deployed at the College within the next year.

“Lakhbir’s depth of knowledge, passion for innovation, and commitment to student success is exactly what MCNY needs in a director of financial aid and scholarship programs,” said Amy Greenstein, Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, “His vision for the office along with his authentic collegiality and service to students will enhance the presence of the Office of Financial Aid with our student body. Lakhbir will play a vital role in strengthening both new and continuing student enrollment by ensuring optimal use of aid and scholarships, especially as we find our way through the remainder and aftermath of the pandemic.”

Lakhbir is a proven financial aid leader who has the passion and commitment to move MCNY’s financial aid office forward through innovation, collaboration and focus on student satisfaction.
