About Dr. Odom
Dr. Oscar Odom III is the Vice President of Security at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Prior to joining the Yard, Oscar served as a Chairperson and College Professor in Criminal Justice and Emergency and Disaster Management at several colleges and is currently teaching at Metropolitan College of New York. Dr. Odom has also served as the First Deputy Commissioner for the New York City Sheriff’s Office and is a retired New York City police detective. He holds a bachelor’s degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, a Juris Doctoral degree from City University of New York School of Law, and a doctoral degree in Education.
