In honor of Black History month, MCNY Library wants to celebrate The 1619 Project! It began as a groundbreaking New York Times Magazine series created by Nikole Hannah-Jones, became a transformational book (check it out from MCNY library!) and is now a limited docuseries screening on Hulu.

The docuseries consists of six episodes, each based on a chapter from the book and presented by the authors themselves. with new episodes airing every Thursday.

MCNY Library will be showing an episode of the series every Thursday from 12-1pm at the Manhattan Library from February 2 – March 9. Come watch with us!

Also, check out the project’s “classroom without walls” site where educators at all levels can access lesson plans and more!
