Two weeks ago, Metropolitan College of New York announced Charles Gibbs would become the college’s seventh president on July 1. The school’s board Chair Gary P. Jenkins, who is New York City’s former Department of Social Services commissioner, said in the press release, “Dr. Gibbs exemplifies visionary leadership, with vast experience and a deep commitment to higher education, making him the perfect choice to steer MCNY into a new phase of growth and innovation.”
