Passing of Dr. William Quintana, Professor in the Audrey Cohen School for Human Services and Education MSEd

To the MCNY college community,

President Gibbs and I are writing to share some sad news.

This past Thursday morning, Dr. William Quintana passed away after a brief illness.

Dr. Quintana was a faithful and devoted faculty member in the Audrey Cohen School for Human Services and Education.

In addition to teaching courses, he was also the education program’s Field Placement Coordinator. In this capacity and because of his previous career as a principal in New York City’s school system, he became an important and critical liaison between our program and schools in the Bronx and across the city.

Dr. Quintana’s service and support of the college was commendable and needs to be recognized.

He taught up until last semester, even while fighting his courageous battle. This epitomizes his dedicated service and commitment to Metropolitan College of New York.
