I am pleased to announce the appointment of Theresa Redd as Executive Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving at Metropolitan College of New York. She joins MCNY as we continue to strengthen relationships with our alumni, expand philanthropic support, and build a broader community of partners committed to the future of our College and our scholars.

Ms. Redd brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in strategic communications, public relations, marketing, brand development, fundraising support, sponsorships, partnerships, executive advising, and community engagement. Her work has spanned the nonprofit, education, healthcare, cultural, entrepreneurial, and entertainment sectors, where she has helped organizations increase visibility, cultivate supporters, and advance mission-driven initiatives.

In this role, Ms. Redd will lead MCNY’s efforts to reconnect and engage our alumni, celebrate their accomplishments, and create opportunities for them to stay involved in the life of the College. She will also oversee annual giving initiatives and help cultivate relationships with donors, corporations, foundations, and community partners who believe in the transformative power of Purpose-Centered Education.

Our alumni are among MCNY’s greatest ambassadors. Their achievements reflect the value of an MCNY education and the difference our graduates continue to make in their professions and communities. Ms. Redd understands that lasting support for a college is built through relationships, shared experiences, and giving people meaningful ways to stay connected to MCNY.

Metropolitan College of New York Launches Renewed Alumni Engagement Initiative for Community
 of More Than 12,000 Graduates

MCNY has appointed Theresa Redd as Executive Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving.

August 3, 2026 – BRONX, NY – As Metropolitan College of New York celebrates more than 60 years of Purpose-Centered Education, the College is launching a renewed effort to reconnect with its community of more than 12,000 alumni while expanding annual giving and creating new opportunities for community partners to support future generations of MCNY scholars.

To lead the initiative, MCNY has appointed Theresa Redd as Executive Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving.

Redd brings 30 years of experience in communications, marketing, fundraising, partnership development, and community outreach. Her career has included leadership roles across nonprofit organizations, healthcare, cultural institutions, entrepreneurship, and the private sector, where she has built relationships, expanded outreach, and supported organizational growth.

As Executive Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving, Redd will lead the College’s efforts to reconnect with alumni, celebrate their accomplishments, expand volunteer opportunities, strengthen annual giving, and build partnerships that support scholarships and other institutional priorities.

Redd said she is excited to help build those connections.

“One of the things that attracted me to MCNY is the passion its alumni have for their College,” she said. “I look forward to listening to their stories, celebrating their successes, and creating opportunities for graduates to reconnect with one another and with today’s scholars. I’m excited about the opportunity to build an even stronger alumni community while growing support for the next generation of MCNY graduates.”

The renewed alumni engagement initiative reflects the College’s commitment to fostering lifelong relationships with its graduates while encouraging alumni to mentor scholars, volunteer, support the College, and remain connected to the institution that helped shape their careers.
