WHY: MCNY’s new Bronx location is the anchor of Triangle Plaza Hub, a new, mixed commercial project that is a center piece of redevelopment in the South Bronx, an economically distressed area that is rebounding after decades of decline. MCNY’s new 26,000 sq. ft. state of the art campus has the capacity to serve over 500 students and helps the college grow and solidify its footprint in the Bronx.
The Bronx site will feature seventeen classrooms, 3 computer labs and a multipurpose conference space that will allow the college to host large events to make the campus and integral part of the local community. The new facility will include public assembly spaces that will provide unprecedented opportunities for MCNY students to interact with the community and host many unique programs on campus.
Along with MCNY President Vinton Thompson, Bronx Director Mercedes Melendez and local elected officials, current members of the faculty and student body will be on site. Tours of the new campus will also be available.
