After a remarkable 36 years of service to our students, Dona Sosa, Dean of Students is retiring from MCNY. An alumna of both our Bachelors of Professional Studies in Human Services and the Masters of Science in Administration (known today as our MPA program), Dona has been connected to the College since 1982. She led the Department of Student Services and shepherded countless students through registration and their academic careers. Throughout her tenure, Dona has been involved in nearly every area of student support including Career Services, Tutoring and Admissions; she also orchestrated commencement every year.
In 1995, Dean Sosa was honored with a Crystal Award for her service to the college and the field of higher education and in 2015, presented with an achievement award in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the School for Human Services.
She will be deeply missed by staff and students alike, and we wish her the best in her retirement.
