Join the MCNY Community in congratulating Dr. Philip Dodd-Nufrio!

March 20, 2020 — Metropolitan College of New York School (MCNY) for Public Affairs and Administration professor, Dr. Philip Dodd-Nufrio has been chosen as a delegate by democratic presidential frontrunner, former Vice President Joe Biden for the June 2nd New Jersey primary Democratic National Convention. Nearly 400 candidates sought the 84 Biden district delegate slots.

“It is with much gratitude and enthusiasm that former Vice President Joe Biden has chosen me to be a New Jersey delegate,” says Dr. Phil Nurio, “My connection to the Vice President was nurtured when I participated in the 2018 “Biden Challenge: Restoring the Middle Class” at the University of Delaware. Within that conference, I served on a study group that examined what role higher education could play in restoring the middle class. Among our many recommendations was to  infuse money into higher education that would promote and create skill-building programs.”
Biden Delegates District #2 (Legislative Districts 2 and 9) include: Atlantic County Democratic chair  Michael Suleiman; Brenda Brathwaite, a public school teacher and former Atlantic County freeholder candidate; and MCNY college professor Philip Nufrio.
