March 22, 2020 –
Dear Students,
As you know, Governor Cuomo has mandated that 100% of our staff work remotely, effective this evening. As a result, all MCNY classes will continue to be online until further notice.
I know that many of you—and your peers across the state and nation—have adapted quickly to a remote learning format, while others have faced challenges. We will be sending you a short survey tomorrow to learn how we can better support you in an online learning environment. Please reply—it should take less than 5 minutes and it will help us to help you continue to achieve your educational goals.
Campus offices will be fully staffed but operating remotely; please use email or the regular campus phone numbers to reach faculty or staff; your call or message will be answered or returned. We will continue to offer food pantry services on a Grab and Go basis; please stay tuned to an email from Student Affairs regarding hours this week.
Please know that each member of the MCNY community will continue to do everything we can to support you at this very challenging time. We do not yet know when this crisis will end, but we do know that together we will emerge stronger and more deeply committed to empowering our communities.
Thank you. Please continue to keep yourselves and your loved ones safe through this stressful time.
With best wishes,
Joanne Passaro
