With great pride, Metropolitan College of New York announces that President Joanne Passaro has been named to
City & State Magazine’s Higher Education Power 100.
Congratulations to all of the awardees. City & State’s Higher Education Power 100 recognizes New York’s most influential academic leaders. Unlike other rankings, this list isn’t based on graduation rates, class size or test scores. Instead, college and university officials are chosen for their advancements, both on campus and off, whether it’s spurring job growth, advocating for policy changes or advising city and state government officials. The list, primarily made up of New York’s higher education leaders, also features lawmakers, labor leaders, philanthropists, advocates and other players in the world of postsecondary education.
This is Dr. Joanne Passaro’s 5th Power list award from City & State; one each year 2019-23. She has also received Power Player awards in 2021 and 2022 from PoliticsNY and amMetroNY.
