A Message from Dr. Tilokie Depoo, Chief Academic Officer & Dean, School for Business

I am pleased to announce that the New York State Board of Regents has approved the College’s application to convert our Bronx Extension Center to a full Branch Campus.  We can now all proudly claim that Metropolitan College of New York has two fully equipped campuses at which students can pursue and complete their degree programs.

As you know, the College has had a presence in the Bronx through extension centers, on and off, for approximately twenty years.  Our move into a new permanent 26,000 square foot facility last summer afforded us the opportunity to expand our degree program offerings to both continuing and prospective students. As a result, the following 12 degree programs have been approved and registered with New York State Education Department and can now be offered entirely at the Bronx Campus:

  • AA in Human Services
  • AS in Business
  • AA in Emergency Management & Business Continuity
  • BBA in Healthcare Systems Management
  • BBA in Business
  • BBA in Emergency Management & Business Continuity
  • BPA in Human Services
  • MBA in General Management
  • MBA in Health Services and Risk Management
  • MBA in Media Management
  • MPA in Public Affairs and Administration
  • MPA in Emergency and Disaster Management.

We firmly believe that this Campus will allow the college to deliver a richer educational experience for its current and prospective students and the community that we serve.  It will enable the College to offer undergraduate and graduate degrees in their entirety from this facility, eliminating the need for students to travel to the Manhattan Campus in order to complete degree requirements.

I am grateful to the members of the faculty, deans, assistant deans and program directors, other academic administrators, and the College’s legal counsel for the thought and expertise that they contributed to the application and approval process.

You are among the first to know and feel free to share and discuss this wonderful news.   The Bronx is booming with growth and opportunity and MCNY is happy to be both a source for growth and provider of opportunity.

Together we can look forward to an empowered future in the Bronx!
