Dr. Greta R. Strong and Robert L. Bacon, Jr. to Board of Trustees

New York, NYMarch 25, 2026 – Metropolitan College of New York (MCNY) is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Greta R. Strong, Ed.D., M.Sc., MPA, HS-BCP, and Robert L. Bacon, Jr. to its Board of Trustees. These distinguished leaders bring a wealth of experience in health care, public policy, higher education, finance, mentorship, and philanthropy that will help guide the College’s continued growth and future direction.

Dr. Greta R. Strong

Dr. Greta R. Strong, Ed.D., M.Sc., MPA, HS-BCP, is a proud alumna of Metropolitan College of New York whose career reflects a deep commitment to service, leadership, and advancing opportunity for others. A scholar-practitioner in health care administration, public policy, and community health advocacy, she serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at Weill Cornell Medicine and as an Adjunct Professor in MCNY’s Master of Public Administration and Policy program, where she mentors and inspires the next generation of public service leaders. She also serves as Dissertation Committee Chair in the Doctor of Education Executive Leadership program at St. John Fisher University. Dr. Strong holds a Doctor of Education in Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher University, a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Touro University, and both an MPA and a BBA from MCNY. She is also a Human Services-Board Certified Practitioner.

Robert L. Bacon, Jr. is a Partner and Executive Vice President at CastleOak Securities, where he serves as Head of Capital Markets and Syndicate, leading the firm’s origination and distribution across global debt and equity markets. Over the course of his career, he has helped more than 60 percent of Fortune 100 companies access capital, contributing to transactions totaling over $5 trillion. His leadership and financial expertise bring valuable strategic perspective to Metropolitan College of New York as a member of the Board of Trustees. Robert was recognized as both a National Merit Scholar and a National Achievement Scholar and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with honors from Howard University. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63, 79, and 24 licenses. Deeply committed to mentorship and philanthropy, Mr. Bacon actively supports initiatives that expand access to education and career pathways for young people. His dedication to opening doors and guiding the next generation closely reflects MCNY’s mission and the promise of Purpose-Centered Education.
